School Council elections
We would like to congratulate Nicole Jasper, Judy Limor, Jennifer Westrick for being selected to serve as representatives on the school council. They were all elected to serve from August 2012-May 2014. We look forward to their time on the school council.
Kindergarten Registration
Vanderlyn invites you to register your rising Kindergarten student now. This is for children who will be 5 years old by September 1, 2012. It is very important for you to register early. This gives our Administrators an idea of how many students will be attending Vanderlyn in the fall.
Please bring the following items.
Original Birth Certificate
Kindergarten- Child must be 5 years old by September 1, 2012
First Grade- Child must be 6 years old by September 1, 2012
Proof of Residency- Utility Bill (Gas, Water or Electric), Signed Lease or Deed
Immunization Form- Form 3231 with 2nd Varicella vaccine or history of the disease documented.
Vision, Hearing and Dental Form- Form 3300
Social Security Card (If you wish to provide the SSN)
Photo Identification of Parent/Guardian

Vanderlyn Named School of Excellence
State School Superintendent Dr. John Barge has named the 2011 Georgia schools of Excellence in Student Achievement, honoring 13 schools that have shown the highest academic achievement across the state. Vanderlyn was named for its top 10% ranking in reading and mathematics achievement in the state of Georgia. Congratulations go to Mr. Maloof, Ms. Crenshaw and Ms. Bowden for their instructional leadership and to Vanderlyn's instructional staff for their unfailing dedication to teaching excellence.
GOSA Platinum Award
Vanderlyn Elementary earned the Platinum Award for Outstanding Student Achievement from the Governor's Office of Student Achievement. Congratulations to the Faculty and Staff for their hard work. Vanderlyn is one of only 28 elementary schools in the state to receive this award.
