Kindergarten will hold honors day in the classroom on Tuesday, May 22nd. The Fifth Grade Honors Luncheon is on Wednesday, May 23rd.

How are we doing as a school?

The state annual measurable objective for Reading/English/Language Arts for Spring 2011 was 75.7%; we scored 71.2%. The state annual measurable objective for Math for Spring 2011 was 80%; Stone Mill scored 69.8%.

Principal's Book of the Month
We read the Principal's Book of the Month to build a community of learning. Each book is a hand picked favorite of our school's principal, Mrs. Harper. Please feel free to come in to read and respond to our Principal's Book of the Month in our school Media Center.

WE WILL READ 25 BOOKS!
The 25 Book Campaign is a county initiative that encourages students to read to improve their vocabularies, their comprehension, and their love for reading. Students have a reading log you are encouraged to review and sign. When students reach their goals they receive a certificate, have their names announced on the intercom, and their name is displayed in our foyer display case.

WE ARE MATH MASTERS!
We are continuing our Math Masters program. Our Math Master program celebrates students who have mastered their basic facts. These students receive a certificate, a Math Master pencil, and have their names announced on the intercom.

Our children feel like winners when they reach their goals. They are more motivated and work harder to achieve when their efforts are recognized. Thank you for all you do to help your child be successful.
