Miller Grove Middle School, Home of the Wolverines, strives to provide an environment of rigorous, stimulating, and uplifting educational opportunities that extend from traditional classroom instruction to extracurricular activities aimed at developing students as quality producers, critical thinkers, and well-rounded individuals.
Nestled in one of Atlanta, Georgia’s metropolitan suburban communities, Miller Grove is located twelve miles east of Atlanta, Georgia. Miller Grove is one of 20 middle schools in the DeKalb County School System and is located in the southern part of the county. The community consists of subdivisions, several apartment complexes, an industrial park, and other small businesses. |

Partnership with PDS-24 –Students will highlight school events, showcase their talents, and learn about various aspects of video production. |

Community Service Projects – The faculty, staff and students participate in a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, The Big Give (featured on 11 Alive News), Shoes for the Sole, Brother 2 Brother Symposium, MDA Shamrocks, and Campus Beautification. |

After-school Programs – MGMS offers three after-school programs specifically designed to promote and improve academic achievement. |

Ms. Shatavia Amey, eighth grade Georgia Studies teacher, was selected as MGMS Teacher of the Year and chosen as DeKalb’s Middle School Teacher of the Year (2009). |

Over 600 students were recognized for their academic success during the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 Honors Programs. |
