| Redan Elementary School is a high-performing learning community that has been a vital part of the Redan community for nearly 100 years. Expectations are high at Redan and uniforms are required Monday-Friday. The dedicated staff is dedicated to success for all learners and providing a quality education for every child. The school provides a safe, orderly and clean environment in which all students can grow and learn. Parents are wanted and welcome at Redan. All parents are required to volunteer for ten hours during the school year. The school’s stakeholders follow a Wellness Plan that bans unhealthy foods and promotes a healthy lifestyle for adults and children. Students at Redan are expected to demonstrate respectful and appropriate behavior daily. Extracurricular activities and afterschool tutorial are provided. |

| UNIFORMS/AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS |
| Redan requires uniforms. Students should wear red, yellow and white tops with navy and/or khaki bottoms or dresses. Redan offers an After School Program Monday-Friday from 2:30-6:30 p.m. and a Summer Camp in June and July. Please call the Director at 678-676-3502 for costs and services. |

Ms. Shirley Applewhite is the 2010 Teacher of the Year and Mr. Kelvin Bullock is the 2009 Auxiliary Person of the Year. |

Redan Elementary is a Distinguished Title 1 School for 2006 and 2007. The school made AYP in 2009. |

Students are presented with academic and citizenship awards at Honor’s Day Ceremonies held at the end of each semester. |

Redan received a $1000 grant from Sam’s Club in 2009. |
