SPARKS provides free books, home visits, and parent workshops to parents of 3,4 and 5 year olds. Peachcrest began using a standards-based curriculum design in the fall of 2001. It encompasses a reading workshop, writing workshop, and a math workshop. The math workshop is utilized in grades 3-5 and it focuses on teaching students to process content instead of memorizing content. Peachcrest students have made great increases on standardized tests since the implementation of the standards based curriculum design.

Each fall Peachcrest has a 25 Book Campaign Kickoff Parade. The 25 Book Campaign Kickoff Parade is an opportunity for parents, students, teachers, and community members to show their support reading.
