Dresden Elementary School, located at 2449 Dresden Drive in Chamblee, Georgia, has served students since its opening September 3, 1963. The school was constructed to alleviate overcrowded conditions at Skyland and Carey Reynolds Schools, and initially was designed to serve grades one through seven. When sixth and seventh grades were moved to the newly designated Sequoyah Middle School in 1996, Dresden became a kindergarten through fifth grade school.
Chamblee, Georgia, is one of the most heavily populated and ethnically diverse communities in the DeKalb County School System. The present student body of 783 is composed of students from at least twenty countries. |
