OVERVIEW
Chapel Hill Elementary School offers students entering Pre-Kindergarten through grade five a comprehensive, interdisciplinary educational program in a highly structured setting. Students are active participants in a challenging program which includes high expectations, instructional counseling, and challenging home study projects. The pursuit to challenging learning experiences leads to more research-centered assignments and hands-on projects requiring problem-solving and critical thinking.

Parents are a vital part of the programs, they work to reinforce the instructional program and to provide support to the school. Workshops are offered to assist parents with encouraging good study habits, supporting family reading, and increasing home and school communication.

Chapel Hill Elementary School was opened in 1967 and is located in south DeKalb County, with the attendance area extending to the Henry County line. Our student population is growing fast in this rapidly growing area. Also:
  • Over 50% of Chapel Hill students are honored each semester
  • Chapel Hill students have placed in the Campus Beautification Program for DeKalb County Schoo
  • Chapel Hill students won awards in county and regional social science fairs
