High-Yield Strategies

Job-Embedded and Online Learning with Classroom Application in the Marzano's Nine High-Yield Strategies
high-yield strategies

The single most effective way to address the variation in outcomes is to improve teaching practice in every content area in every school.

The High-Yield Strategies (HYS) Institute is designed to do this by enhancing the skills of instructional leaders and teachers to identify, understand, and apply proven, research-based instructional strategies as an integral part of their daily practice.

Program Features

Members of the HYS Institute will:

  • Participate in twenty-four-hour online instructional resources which include video, discussion, and online collaboration.
  • Describe the research effort and methodology behind the nine instructional strategies identified in Classroom Instruction That Works.
  • Participate in peer observation opportunities through a classroom walk-through tool.
  • Recognize the role that both classroom management and curriculum design play in the implementation of these instructional strategies.
