Knollwood Achieves Adequate Yearly Progress! |
At the end of the 2008-2009 school year, 75% of our students scored in levels two and three on the Reading and Language Arts sections on the spring administration of the CRCT. This is above the 73.3 % necessary for adequate yearly progress. With the inclusion of the summer retest scores I am glad to announce the Knollwood Elementary has once again made Adequate Yearly Progress in both reading and math. Congratulations to all of the students and teachers for their hard work. There are a few changes to the 2009-2010 school year which include the introduction of the Parent Assistant program, which will go live on October 23. The navigation bar to the left contains the link for registration, as well as access the Parent Assistant program itself. The Parent Assistant allows parents to view updated student progress on a consistent basis. Parents will also receive progress reports every 4 ˝ weeks and student work will be kept in a portfolio available to parents at any time. Please make an effort to volunteer in your child’s classroom and begin reading with them on the first day of school. Your support is invaluable to the educational process.
