Kindergarten Registration

Vanderlyn invites you to register your rising Kindergarten student now. This is for children who will be 5 years old by September 1, 2012. It is very important for you to register early. This gives our Administrators an idea of how many students will be attending Vanderlyn in the fall.

Please bring your child's birth certificate, proof of residency (utility bill, lease or deed) and a photo identification.  We look forward to seeing you!

Vanderlyn Named School of Excellence

State School Superintendent Dr. John Barge has named the 2011 Georgia schools of Excellence in Student Achievement, honoring 13 schools that have shown the highest academic achievement across the state. Vanderlyn was named for its top 10% ranking in reading and mathematics achievement in the state of Georgia. Congratulations go to Mr. Maloof, Ms. Crenshaw and Ms. Bowden for their instructional leadership and to Vanderlyn's instructional staff for their unfailing dedication to teaching excellence.

GOSA Platinum Award

Vanderlyn Elementary earned the Platinum Award for Outstanding Student Achievement from the Governor's Office of Student Achievement. Congratulations to the Faculty and Staff for their hard work. Vanderlyn is one of only 28 elementary schools in the state to receive this award.
