Class Profile (2011)
Our mission is to educate and prepare students to become productive citizens in their ever-changing world.

• Senior Class performed over 3000 hours of Community service projects and initiatives such as Breast Cancer Walk,
• Members of this class are prepared to enter the work force immediately to get a job or create one with over 170 students certified by the state as work ready (will you please stand)

The Vision of Stephenson High School is to be internationally recognized as a school of Excellence in academics, the arts and athletics.

Academics
• This year the Class of 2011 had the distinct honor of being presented with over 100 resolutions from State Senator Gloria Butler of the 55th District

• Over 15 students qualified for our Gold 1600 SAT Club with SAT scores over 1600

• Four students qualified for our Platinum SAT Club with SAT scores over 2000

• The seniors in this class played a significant role in improving our Advanced Placement Test Scores by 23% this year with students that scored 3 or higher and received college credit for their scores on Advanced Placement Exams.

• There were 83 Superintendent’s Scholars who took 3 or more AP classes during their career.

• Star student with an SAT score over 2000 Paul Calhoun III

• We had 16 students who received the Presidential Academic Excellence Award that recognizes seniors who have at least a 3.5 GPA and earned Community Service hours. Presidential Award recipients receive a certificate signed by the President of the United States of America, President Barack Obama.

• We had 1 student in the graduating class who received the prestigious Bill Gates Millennium Scholarship. This student was one of only 1000 students in the United States. This scholarship will pay her way for college from Bachelors Degree all the way to PHD. This scholarship has been valued at over six hundred and thirty-five thousand dollars.

• 3 students were inducted in our Stephenson High School Hall of Fame (Our Valedictorian, Salutatorian, Star Student and Bill Gates Scholar

• Over 20 students were on the Principal’s Honor Roll – All A’s

• Over 120 seniors were on the A/B Honor Roll

• Academic scholarship offers totaling over 3 million dollars

Excellence in the Fine Arts

• For the first time in school history, our seniors were responsible for helping us achieve the distinct honor of winning the prestigious National Adjudicators Award.

• Our 41 seniors received an astonishing $2.5 million dollars total scholarships offers.

Excellence in Athletics
• Finally, our Athletics program continues to gain national headlines with our football program producing the highest number of student athletes receiving college scholarships than any other high school in the Nation.

• Over 24 football players received athletic scholarships to go to college.

• 2 Seniors received the prominent Wendy’s Heisman Award (Kayla Kudratt and Jeremy Shepperd)

• Our athletes received an incredible 4.7 million dollars in total scholarship offers.

• When you add it up, the Class of 2011 received a combined total of over 13 million dollars in total scholarships
