Congratulations to the HMS Academic Bowl Team!

Congratulations to the HMS Academic Bowl Team on its performance in the Middle School National Championship Tournament in Chicago last weekend!  The team of Karah Lindsay, James Owen, Ben Wise, Andrew Crites, Leila Banniassad, and Hanna Banniassad went 4-4, one win away from making the playoff rounds.  The team ends its successful season ranked 54th in the nation.

Congratulations to Ben Wise (Team 7B) who competed in the State Geography Bee on Friday April 5, 2013. Ben was one of 100 students across the state of Georgia who qualified to participate in this competition.

Congratulations Mr. Duncan!

On Friday March 1, 2013 the National Life Group presented the LifeChanger of the Year Award to Dale Duncan, making him the first Georgia teacher to ever receive this award.
He was one of 10 national recipients from more than 7,000 school districts.
Mr. Duncan received a plaque and a check for $1,500, and another $1,500 check was presented to the school.
